If 17x9 +63 rubs the A-arm in the front, would +48 a better choice?
Is a slight roll enough to fit 255 tires on 17x9 +48 for the front?
No need to flare, correct?

+63 9" 255/40 NT-01 Front
+72 10" 275/40 NT-01 Rear

-2.75° rear camber
-2.00° front camber

Lowered approx 1" on Tein Flex with 14 kgf/mm rear and 12 kgf/mm front springs

Stock fenders and liners.

Have not driven it yet, so I don't know if it will rub...

Some comparison shots to the stock wheels with 225/45 fronts and 255/40 rears:

Rear:

Front:

Satisaii: Nice pictures. Does your set up rub the a-arms or fender linings?

I only drove it ~25 ft with one turn (twice) to get it in/out of my garage to take the pictures. It did not rub during that maneuver. The car is currently on jack stands getting modifications, so more testing is out.

I think I may have to raise it and/or modify the fender liners. I had a small amount of rubbing with the worn-out tires, and raised it 5mm to clear that up.

took the wheels off to roll my fenders in anticipation of dumping the car. Even at stock height w/stock suspension I'm getting inner-body rub!! Time for a dremel, followed shortly by a big hammer and a heat gun

hahaha Welcome to my world.

I hate being the bearer of bad news, but I was the first person to point this out.

IF you don't mind doing a little custom hammer work to your engine bay/fender well area, it'll completely cure the inner body rub.....Take a look at my pics on one of the first two pages.

What's funny is that this is nothing new. A 9+63 has never been a bolt on affair without headaches. I guess I've been a member that long tho to know. It was very well documented by maxrev too

LuLz, I figured I'd be following in your foot steps. I saw your initial post on this and figured I wouldn't have to deal with this until I dumped the car. However, even at stock height and barely taking "spirited" corners, there's still rub marks. Either way, thanks for the DIY

that's why I feel kinda dumb. This is a well documented issue but I didn't really look into it because most of the problems I've heard of deal with the fenders.

Either way, my back-ordered coilovers conveniently arrived so after pounding away some clearance I'll dump the car and put some pictures up

Don't start hacking up your car, I have run +55 and +65 wheels with 255 tires up front for a while now and do not have the rubbing you're seeing. I think the common thing between you and john3501447 is that you're on stock suspension - it's too soft and allows the wheel to move too far up in the wheel well. With all that grip up front, you need stiffer springs and/or sway bars to keep the roll and ride movements in check.

edit: I am talking about the inner-body rub. Yes, I had to cut the outer fenderliner and bend back two tabs to get the tire to clear the fender, so go ahead with that.
