What size spacers should I go with on stock AP2V2 wheels and tires? I won't be doing any body mods until late spring early summer of next year. I'm dropped on Skunk2 springs.
15mm is the max u can do without rolling the rear fenders. The fronts will fit with 15mm also.

I'm going to go ahead and bite the bullet and have the fenders done. $100 bucks at the body shop I've had to use a few times. Not bad.

man all of these cars are looking so good. i was debating on what i wanted to do but this looks to be the cheapest option and looks really good still. couple questions though. i have read through all of it but want to clarify.

1. i would probably do 15 or 20mm all the way around. is it ok to run the type with studs already in the spacers in the front as well? any risks to them on the front?

2. i have an ap2 with ap2v3 wheels. i saw that is said that the ap2 wheels a recesed hub but just want to make sure it will work front and back?

I'm surprised this thread is still going strong

My new 09 GPW is running my trademark 2002+ NSX wheels and I plan to get some 15mm front spacers for the car. The oem NSX front wheel is 5mm less aggressive so by running a 15mm spacer, I'm essentially 10mm wider on each side than the factory AP2 wheels.

To answer your questions above:

1) If you run 15mm spacers you NEED TO USE EXTENDED studs or you will risk the wheel flying off the car at high speeds which is a terrible idea and unsafe.

2) ONLY AP2 V1 and V2 have the recessed hubs, the AP2v3 DOES NOT

If you are running less than a 10mm spacer (1/2") then you can have one more option. There is a special type of lug nut with an extended shank which will work if your wheels have this type of clearance. I will post some pictures of this as I learned this from a NSX/Vette buddy who taught me some cool things!

so then my only two options are to either run extended studs or get 20-25mm spacers with studs in them already and run those all the way around, or would i still run into the problem with having no recesed hub?

since you dont have the recessed hubs on your v3's and want to go wide, i would suggest going with the extended studs.
