for those of you who know my car...will i rub if i get new stock sized tires?
im thinking no, but just want to make sure...

for those of you who dont know my car/specs here they are
25mm spacers all around
stock tire sizes
rolled all around, rear tab relocate etc.
lowered on coils, a little less than a finger all around
-2.67 camber in the rear, and i think -1.45 in the front.

uhhhhmmm....i think you will rub just a little if you get new tires..since the new tread is gonna be much thicker and what not..but you'll be ok...maybe if you raise the car half an inch you wont really rub.

i have the same set up that you pretty much have..lol..except i havent gotten that much negative camber done on mine.

already have my 15mm for the front, just order 20mm for the rear. just to double check, with these size spacers, stock tires and alignment, 1" drop, i still need to roll the fenders? even the front?

Since you bought the spacers from me, I feel qualified to answer. I'm dropped about 1" on stock wheels and they were fine in the front. Over large bumps they would rub the fender liner, but there didn't seem to be any issue with the fender itself.

However, 20mm in the back did rub pretty bad on a ~1.5" drop, which is why I sold them. You could roll the fenders and be fine, but I didn't want to fool with it.

very nice references! this makes me want to get wheel spacers... anyone selling?

Does anyone have any wheel problems or notice any differences when running spacers during drags or high speeds, or does it feel the same as without them?

Now one more question, for all of you guys in here running 225 front 255 rears on stock AP2s, how does the car drive? worth the extra rubber? how is the handling compared to stock size? as crisp as on 245s? or a little "softer"?

From what I hear, larger tires in the front numbs steering response somewhat. I'm not sure the rears have any effect on this.

However I'll be stepping up from 245s to 255s in back when the OEM RE050s are done. That should make the rear slightly less tail happy in turns, which is nothing but a good thing.

here's some more info for those of you to assist:

Integral spacer definition = spacer with new studs so they bolt right on

H/R only makes Integral spacers in 25mm with new studs but the problem is it's too wide for most s2000's!

Project Kics has Integral spacers in 20mm but they are not hubcentric unless you buy separate rings.

**H/R spacers is the BEST QUALITY BAR NONE in terms of material used. I've already stripped a few studs on "other" brands, trust me H/R is the best quality by far....all those other JDM brands use weaker metal.

OEM ap2 v3 rims do NOT have the rear recessed holes so essentially it's the same as that picture I posted with my NSX wheel. This means you MUST use a 20mm+ Integral spacer to clear the oem studs.

s2000 owners in general will want NO MORE than 15mm spacers if you do not want to destroy your fenders. Quite frankly I think 10mm is the safest if you want to be safe, especially if you are dropped. Does not matter what springs/coilovers or stiffness that make you think you are special, YOU ARE NOT!

People asked me why I can run 20mm up front and the reason is the OEM NSX wheel is 17x7, +60 (5mm less aggressive than OEM s2000 which is 17x7, +55)

So essentially I'm only running a 15mm spacer (20-5=15mm) Got it?

I'd still roll even with 15mm -- I've posted this many times in this thread already. You shouldn't be too worried about "rubbing on the freeway" what you should be worried about is bumps in the middle of a turn, such as up a driveway, or down a freeway onramp or something of the sort. Even with 15mm, if you're lowered that tire will eventually catch your front unrolled fender and pull it right out!

I used to have 25mm all around on 225/255 with -2.5F, -3.0R camber -- goodbye fenders smile.gif

I'll make it big and bolded so everyone here can read it again.

If you run anything over a 15mm spacer with stock or bigger tire-sizes and you are lowered by over an inch, prepare to have your fender pulled out.

It might not happen to you right away, but it will happen. You can choose wether it gets pulled out by a bodyshop with a fender roller or when your tire hooks onto your fender lip and tears/pushes it out.

After reading through this whole thread and pm'ing with S4play I decided that I would stay way conservative, drop 1 inch max and use the 10mm spacers. For those that don't want to do any fender/guard or tab relocating mods this is what's recommended.
I think I may need to get extended studs to replace the ones that were supplied though.
Haven't fitted yet as just arrived in the mail.

(1) Ichiba spacer hubcentric rings 10mm (REAR) $105USD
(1) H&R spacer hubcentric 10mm (FRONT) $115 USD

Got these in the mail today, E Bay sellor: garagespecmotorsports
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Great service he went and got the H&R's shipped in for me, then posted to me from Sydney (whilst his partner is on holidays here in Australia) to save on shipping.
