Indy, get an automotive hose clamp of the right size. Put it on over the left side hanger off the cannister and then tighten until you have the right fitment.

Of the three Mugen exhausts I've had, they all have sat lower on the left side. This is how I adjusted two of them. One of them, I used a GM specific hanger to bring it to the right height.

I like the clamp idea more, it allowed me to tweak height and center for both cannisters...if you look at pics of my S2000 in this thread, you'll see how high I've got both cannisters sitting but without touching the bumper cover.

^ That is exactly what I did...however I had the clamps around the rubber exhaust hanger and compressed that...i brought about 1mm off before it couldn't compress any further.

Doing it this way could force the hanger on the cannister to break off over time.

Doing it the way I did (with clamps directly on the hangers), the clamp is the weak point and the rubber hangers will catch the cannister if the hanger fails. This fail point is easier, quicker, and cheaper to fix.

Also, here's a pic of my set up (sorry, don't have a straight on picture on the silver car).

Here's the wife's car. These sit a little lower than on my car, but will take some time to get them to sit higher/closer to the bumper cover this weekend.

So you don't have rubber hangers, only the clamps? I don't think I was able to get both on there

Nope, I have both the clamps and the rubber hangers. I've got plans to work on my cars this weekend, I'll try to remember to take some pics.

All the header swaps I've done, I've done from the top. Get under the car, unbolt the header from the cat.

Then from the engine bay, undo and remove the black heatshield. Remove the bolts that hold the header onto the head. Carefully pull the header from the top and with a few twists and turns the OEM header will pull out easy. The Mugen header should go back in just opposite of how the OEM came out.

Make note to either open the hood all the way open or take the hood off the hinges.

Luder94, thank-you sir for the advice. Will post pics when it's all said and done. Mugen intake will be going in soon as well, once i get more time to work on the hood.

No problem...

...btw, same here. I need to install a Mugen header and Mugen intake on the red car pictured above. I was planning on doing it this weekend...alongside a full oil change for the silver car. I'll try to take as many pics as I can.
