8 hours labor That's $480+ just to decide if it is repairable.

PM HTG and see if they still have a deal on an '04 engine.

If not let Maryville Honda do the work ;they seem to be willing to work with us more than any other dealership in Columbus

If you have been checking the oil as you said and the engine oil really is THAT LOW, then there is something else mechanically wrong with your valve train that is causing your engine to consume oil.
If you spend a lot of time in VTEC like BJ and Andy, your car will burn oil.

Brad called me back and offered to assist if I had my S2000 towed to the Marysville dealership. He said it would be worth my time to have it towed there as they would provide a better deal than Immke, possibly get the parts paid for by AHM and I'd only be responsible for labor. I appreciate the extended help from the Marysville service dept and Scott and Ray for calling in to bat for me, it goes to show their good intentions for servicing our S2000 community. I am sensitive to their offer to help and I don

not to the point where only 2K (serviced at 39k and found problem at 41k) of hard driving would consumed all the oil that the dealer would consider "too low" S2K engine eats oil, but not to the point that in 2K mile that the engine would be starved of oil.

I know I add about a half to a quart after every track events. But I know for sure, doesn't matter how hard I drive, I never have to add more than 1 quart every six months or so. BJ's case is much more than a low oil issue I think. I would say, Immke's quick response is very questionable.

I know jack about engines. I just hate to see one of my bros without his ride. After Scott and I spoke to Marysville, I was impressed with their offer to assist. I would take it to Marysville. I think you would have the best chance at saving $$$.

Yea, I agree, Marysville sounds like the best option. I am in search for a flat bed towing resource. Searching for one now.

I don't disagree with you, i'm just saying that this car does consume oil. The more you vtec the more you will consume.

BJ, no one accused you of over reving. Just take the car to Honda Marysville and let them deal with it. They did the last oil change only 2 months and 2,000 miles ago. I'd leave it up to them to tell you what is wrong and what they are willing to do about it. Once they open it up the motor should give you a pretty clear picture of what happened.
