Default Front Grill Insert

My front grill insert is loose where a tire hit it. Is there suppost to be studs on the black piece that holds it to the bumper? If so, i guess a couple of them are broken off. It almost appears there is two-sided tape by the mounting holes.

The shop manual only shows how to remove/install the bumper, not the insert. Anyone know?
Thanks,
-Pete

I remember this from when I removed my insert for the mesh I have now. The insert has little studs that go through the hole as you assume. There a little metal clips that slid over these studs on the backside to hold it in place. The studs are tiny, and probably broke off. There is also double sided tape, but I don't know how much holding power you would need to keep it together without the studs.
