They hit and ran, many parts of their car were recovered and they could not have gotten too far, but far enough to hide or something. What I find kinda ironic here is that the guy drove away from a 4 point moving violation for running a light and a hit to his insurance, but if he's caught will probably wind up in jail with a felony charge. I suppose he could have had mitigating reasons to run (drugs in system/car, no insurance, no license, etc) but still...
That type of an accident could be very serious.

Glad to hear you're alright. Same exact thing happened to my brother except one of the parts that fell off the hit-and-run vehicle was the front plate, so tagging the guilty SOB was easy doins.
