I know I haven't had alot of cash to do my mods, but I have seen stuff I wanted and researched it, saved cash, and bought them. So far I have done a CAI, painted brake calibers with S2000 logos, just started doing steel braided hoses, and just last week got my Espalier springs for Evolutions and put those on. It lowered the car about 1 1/2" all the way around and I have stock wheels and it gave me the look I was going for. And I got the springs on a group buy for $180 bucks. Oh yea and I also have a Amuse front lip that I got for Spugen. I am almost got the car about where I want it. Goodluck. There are alot of things you can do, so see what it is you like, research it ask people there take and have at it.

Thumbs up

Speakin of mods...

Anyone familar with the H&R springs or the H&R Coilovers?

I saw on the H&R website the springs lower the car only .75" in the front and .6" in the back. Is this true? If so, that is the right amount of drop I am going after (no more than 1" front or back). From my experience, most of those drop estimates are wrong, with the true drop being much more.

Alternatively, the more expensive coilovers will allow me to adjust the height to the exact drop I want.

Does anyone have experience with the H&R Coilovers (good, bad, hard to adjust, etc)?

clean, i had H&R's on my first S2000....was one of teh first i toronto to try them.

they were off the car in 3 months.

they're way too soft....for my driving style at least.

you have a bit of a dilemma....you want a minimal drop.

all the really good springs privde more than .6 and .75 drops.

a realistic and comparable alternative would be to get koni yellows - they have different spring perches with (i think) .75 or 1 inch intervals.

however, they're about double the cost of springs.

in retrospect, i would have done this first (i got konis much later) as lowering springs deteriorate shock life.

meaning that sooner or later, you're stock shocks will be toast.

I know that my Espilar super down springs that I just put on stiffen the ride up alot. But it does lower the car about 1 1/2" all the way around,I I like the look and the ride. Can't wait for the ride to the Fall Colors in a few weeks to get a better ride.

Well I'm down to two different manufacturers of wheels SSR's or Volks. I had a one point considered Panasports and Enkei's but have ruled them out.

I'm also on the fence with BFG KD's and Bridgestones for tires and either Eibach or Espelir for springs.
