Default A little favor

Hey guys. I'm reaching out to some Cleveland/Columbia Ohioans to see if anyone has a little free time to check out a used car at Columbia Acura and wants to make a quick buck.

Basically I'm looking at a TL SH-AWD with 6MT (super rare; none in my state), and simply can't justify getting out there from Louisiana to check it out personally. I'd like to purchase the car over the phone and have it shipped to me, but I'm anxious about not being able to see the car, let alone drive it.

I'm offering two installments, one small good faith payment upon agreement and one larger payment upon completion of review. I'd ask for you to drive the car, snap a few pictures, and comment on clutch feel, panel gaps, paint appearance, overall quality. I have prices in mind, but I'll save them for private messages.

Best of luck - I'd do this in a heartbeat if it were in Cincinnati.

Can you check the location? Googling Columbia Acura shows it in Cincinnati, not Cleveland. They're about 4 hours apart.

Yeah, Columbia Acura is right off Montgomery isn't it? Shame I didn't see this earlier... I was just down there two days ago.

You guys are right. I realized this today. It's in Cincinnati, OH. I just got a batch of pictures for the first time, and there are a few scratches on the front and rear bumper. The salesman is going to repaint the entire rear bumper; I'm not sure how I feel about that.

I work at Park Acura in Akron OH, if you ever see anything there, I would be glad to help! Unfortunately Cinci is about 4 hours from me. Are the scratches that deep that they can not buff them out? If so, then those could be some pretty serious scratches. I bought an 05 TL 6 M/T from Florida sight unseen. Had it brought up on a flat bed. It had a big dent in the back and the wheels were all pretty scratched up when I finally got to see it for the first time... wish I would have looked at it first.. It was still a very nice car otherwise though! Good luck!

Thanks everyone who chimed in here, but I've decided against further investigation of this car. There is some damage to the paint that's significant enough for the salesman to point it out to me. They are repainting the bumper, so I'm going to let someone else enjoy the car.

Have a happy new year Ohio S2K group!

Probably a good choice, too. I'm not a fan of repainted cars.
