Default My first mod

Thanks to the gentlefolk of this forum for your recommendation of Jake (imdarkrider). Jake did a great custom install for me last week at Audio Visions and I'm pleased with the results.

He installed a two-way alarm system--I felt it necessary for an attention-grabbing car like the S.

He also installed a USA-Spec PA11-HON, then did a custom install of my RoadyXT and wiring for my iPod, both in my center console. I decided that even though the S is a driver's car, I couldn't live without my music collection or my CNN and BBC fixes on XM.

Very happy with the work, with my ability to keep the stock HU and to maintain the use of the stock radio controls, even with some aspects of the use of the iPod.

XM antenna

The Roady XT fits PERFECTLY. It's also only $24.95 on closeout at Sears.

The wires don't pinch on closing the door, and there's plenty of room for my iPod.

I can't. However, I felt that the stealth of the location was more important than the convenience. I programmed all my favorite channels into the preset buttons....I just pop the glove compartment open when I'm at a stop light and push a preset button when I want to switch stations. I plan to try my RoadyXT remote control as well (once I find it....my little boy got hold of it somehow and who knows where he put it.....)

Nice location but heat shrink tubing should be Jake's best friend.
