Hey everyone, I live in CA and I'm planning on coming to visit my uncles in Tulsa within the next couple months. If I like it I might consider moving. As far as safety, anything I might need to know? Theft and gangs like that, or any haunted places. *jk*

 

Dunno about gangs, but there are definitely thieves here (perhaps not as bad as some places, but they're definitely out there). I thought I was safe in south Tulsa, but my Integra's head unit was stolen in broad daylight in under 60 seconds at my work a few months ago. I'm so glad I don't daily the S. Oh, you should probably be forewarned about the roads here... they totally suck.

 

Oklahoma city is the #4 gang city in the USA. I-35 and I-40 intersect and more drugs go on those highways than anywhere else

 

My soft top was slashed in a nice neighborhood in Moore. Cops had reports of vandalism through the night when it happened. In Norman apartments that were predominantly college students seemed to have the most problems.

The best advice was already given above - garage and beater.

 

Thanks for the heads-up. Garage is a must but I hate asking my uncle to borrow his garage. I have a beater too but it won't make it to OK and I pretty much daily my S2000 here in CA. Simply because I just can't get enough of it.
