I recommended those sizes due to his wheel offset. It wil stretch just a little bit, but it won't be too extreme. I think he's going to need it for clearance, though.

just thought i'll jump in since i don't know much about tire specs myself. if anyone can help. i have a set of 4 rims that are all 17x7.5 with a 45 offset for my s2k. i'm lowered about 20 mm in the front about 8/10 of an inch, and 30mm in the rear. which is about 1.2 inches. can anyone direct me on the tire size that will fit my rims? i want to go as wide as i can at the rear. also, any recomendations for the front? thanks

JulieU..I'm on OE springs at the moment but I will be gettting a full coilover set in the near future. 215/245 will work? (I'm not looking for the stretched tire look)

Any recommends on the brand for the fronts?
You should stick with the same tire on all wheels. Staggered but not different brands or different tires within a brand.

They won't be stretched all that much. Basically just enough to help the tire clear the sheetmetal. That way you aren't chewing up tires OR fenders!

See the rear tires on this car? This is the kind of stretch I'm talking about...very mild.
