Actually, I saw him a half block before I passed him. He was just getting on his bike and it didn't even appear he had looked in my direction - I was just part of a stream of cars on Sandy.

I've never been given a second glance by officers in patrol cars. The motorcycle cop's job is to spot traffic infractions, and that's what he did.

I don't feel he was "picking on me" or anything. The police are the "good guys" keeping our society in order. I would much rather have it like this than the way it is in some other countries I've been to!

I knew the law...I broke the law...I got caught. End of story.

And, you're right - it may be a long time before I can "forget" to put the front plate on again.

It is true that you broke the law and they were just doing their job. I don't think he was "picking" on you at all. People get a bad idea about the cops sometimes but they have a very difficult job to do. But, the cops aren't always the "good guys". I understand they have a tough job but they forget sometimes that they are suppose to "enforce the law" and not "BE the law". There is a huge difference between the two.

As far as this law goes though, I really think that it should be changed. I know why it probably won't be changed but I really want it to so I don't have to keep a ugly plate on the front of my car

Bumping an old thread, but guess it's time for my front plate to make its appearance. Just got my "warning" for no front plate.
