I recently bought a used Rick's Header and it does not look good cosmetically, so I was thinking of powdercoating it. I have used Class Act in the past and they have been great. They recommended I use high temperature powder. Anyone else done this? Or used some other form of coating?

Id talk to Forged or Brian and see where they got the Ultimate Forged Turbo Kits heat treatment done at

 

Most people use Jet Hot, I did Jet Hot coating for my Header back in the SC days, and I've never had any issues with it.

Or you could contact Forged and ask them about the company they use up in WA, they did the coating on my turbo kit and it looked awesome, and no problems with them either.

 

Looks like the high temp coating withstands upto 1400F. I will check into the other sources.

Are you looking to do this just to have the header look nicer or are you trying to do some heat management?

If you are just looking to paint them, then I think any place that can do the high temp paints will do.

Make it look better first and some heat management would be good.
