Auto Detailing
For high end detailers who use the best products, are the most careful and have the most knowledge you can expect to pay any where from $150 - $250 for a "full detail" ( wash, wax / sealant and interior.)
$300- $500 once a one step paint correction process is added along with paint decontamination (iron removal and claying). Expect to be without the car for 5-8 hours
$500+ for paint correction that involves two or more steps and normally is a one or two day job.
Im just giving ballparks of course. Some detailers do charge more then others, however, most of us are in the same range when it comes to really good work. Its roughly around the $50-$70 an hour range depending on the detailer.
People who advertise doing paint corrections for way less are either just using fillers which mask the imperfections and don't correct them, or are loosing quite a bit of money trying to low ball everyone and they won't be around for long or eventually will start to charge way more because they can't sustain their business anymore. (have seen this way to often and so many detailers come and go because of this)
Detailing is expensive. Really good products that are safe on every surface of the car do not come cheap. As an example, the wheel cleaner I use is $100 for 5L. However, you can spray it on a wheel and come back two hours from then and the wheel would never be damaged. When working with pricy aftermarket sets of wheels (or pricy sets of stock ones for that matter) , this kind of gentle cleaner is worth its weight in gold and you can feel confident that your beloved set of alloys will be in the best of care.
The old adage really does carry with professional detailing. "You get what you pay for"
