Who's pulley 1:10's on street tires out there?
He was saying mid to high 1:10's. In other words 1:15's+.

The Pacific Grand Prix track record for a car is still a high 1:09 set by our own Gearhead in his S2000.

Some geek data relating to typical laptimes for drivers:
1:15 is an average speed of 40.8mph (Street Tires)
1:12 is an average speed of 42.5mph (R-Compounds)
1:03 is an average speed of 48.5mph (Rotax kart) - Just had to throw that in there...

A 1:40 at Pacific Raceways is an average speed of 81mph.

Ok that makes more sense, thanks for clarifying.

And my personal best to date in the Junky-mobile with no brakes and gay ultra flush 215/245 combo 1:15.13

Got to leave a few seconds for some style though

Actually my fast time on OLD R-compounds is 1:10.9XX (still the record, I think)
Fast time on R888's is 1:11.2XX
Fast time on Street Tires (RE070) is 1:13.1XX

I think a 1:08 or 1:09 is definitely possible with fresh V710's or Hoosiers.

Next time I'll be running R888's and 10psi of boost. Boost shouldn't make much difference on this track but it might drop a second or so on the two straights.

Jerry, are you running 1:03's in the kart?

Yes. I called out that number because it is worth a mid-pack finish in Rotax Senior/International class. A fact I am intimately aware of.

To give you an general idea of the kart records:
405lb min, ??hp 250cc, 6 speed, open engine, open tire

385lb min, ~38hp 125cc, 6 speed, spec engine, open tire
Semi-Pro Stock Moto (S2) 1:00.137 Christopher Barkley

365lb min, 28hp 125cc, non-shifter, sealed engine, spec tire
Rotax Senior 1:01.268 Stepanova Nekeel

Rotrex, ok cool, looks like a really nice build. I hate to see you waste it with the FIC though. Some guys have had better results with these on the ap2 ECU's. Ap1's just have had all kids of erratic functioning in the closed loop operation. I lost a motor to one, the good guys at carb conn tuning it didn't help that process either, that could have been avoided, but the FIC has proven to not be a good option. Much better success with the E-manage even though its a bit out dated and a bit conveluted, if it works it works, if you have to stick with a piggy back

I'll likely go Hondata or full stand alone (Haltech or Motec) at some point but the F/IC is actually working very well so far. I've been using the F/IC with 725 cc injectors for over a year while NA. FI set-up is 95% dialed in right now with several hundred road miles (only half of them sideways).

Well I hope things work out great. Good luck on the project

Who is providing the tuning btw?
