current S2000 pricing for 2004 and 2005
i am trying to get out of my 2004 Acura TSX and into something a little more focused - i.e. the S2000.
the best i have seen on a 2005 at this point is $33.5 and on a 2004, $32.3.
i was naively hoping that rolling into a rainy Puget Sound winter i'd either be able to get an '05 for under MSRP or a 2004 for not much above invoice.
if there is a more appropriate sub-forum to test this - please let me know.
if not would love to get some insights from folks who have recently purchased...
cheers

My local dealership is at $33,465 for '05......and they said they could find me a 'New' 04 in my color (Red) @ $33,290. I told them 'No' on both counts.....and an even bigger NO at the '04 price...... I am focusing my looking on finding an older model (cherry + low mileage) for a whole bunch less. In fact, I am looking real hard at a '00 Red with 4,024 miles. It's only a little over 4,000 miles away, so I am getting shipping bids to see if it's worth my while. I have already had a friend view, drive & critique this car.......he said he spent an hour on hands and knees + driving it, desperately trying to find any kind of a flaw, no matter how minor. The word is FLAWLESS and not a single scratch.....even underneath like it just came from the factory. If the dealership was more reasonable on the '04.....say like about $31,000, I may have been more interested (and alot of that interest is spelled...w.a.r.r.a.n.t.y

the best i have now is $32,465 for a 2005 which is $1000 under MSRP.
i have not yet recieved a sensible offer for a "new" 2004 - it would have to be $30k or even less now i am thinking to make this worthwhile.
thanks for the input all

I have a 2004 S2000 black/black w/1700+ miles. Thinking of selling it for a more pratical car.
Let me know if you are serious in buying a S2000.
