Emission Test Failed...
[QUOTE=turbo_slug,Jan 21 2011, 05:14 PM] i'm pretty sure those aren't old codes...the ecu will clear itself if the problem disappears for a long enough period...
are those codes stored as pending or are they active codes?

I don't know if clearing my codes will work; unless it doesn't come back for awhile, at least an hour or so for me to get over to the emission test and get it tested with cleared codes.
I most likely will have to replace all my O2 sensors which sucks.
I don't know if I should pay for new O2 sensors and replace and pay for the registration or just pay a friend $200 for him to just register my car with new tabs...

You wouldn't happen to have a test pipe installed on this car would you?
i was gonna ask about that...but there was the secondary air injection system....
actually.
now that i think about it. it sounds like the car wasnt warmed up or it got "cold" while idling there. i agre with kerrian, or however you spell it.
go drive the piss out of it before you take it in. like drive in 3rd on teh freeway for like 5 - 10 mins. then get it tested

How would I fix the air injection system problem?
The emissions test is about 15mins away and my car seems warmed up.
Maybe it wasn't warmed up enough?
I should just replace the O2 sensor first and try again?

What I would do and have had to do in the past, before you go spending $300 on 02 sensors -which I'm not even convinced is the problem, pull the battery terminals, this will re set your ecu without a need for an OBD2 tester. Pull the terminals off and wait about 30sec and then hook them back up, this will clear the codes, you should have a time frame in which you can drive the car for 15-20 miles which is enough time for the car to store the proper information to pass emissions, but the longer you drive (if you do indeed have an issue) after several repeat faults detected by the ecu, it will then store this data and this will cause you to fail. So you have a window. I would try this first, re set your ecu, drive the car about 15 miles (and casually mind you) and re take your free do over test, my guess is you will pass. Run a OBD2 scan later and see if you pull up any codes, if you do, then you can take your time to sort that out at this point, since your legal.
