Serious? Take more pride?

You would think that these comments would prove how much pride we take in our cars. We don't go and put parts on our cars just because someone says it gains so much. I'd rather read and research because I care what goes on my S. If something new comes out it's always a good idea to question and get hard data about said product, especially something that has many variations such as a new header.
Yep

When you are 18, and your Civic is the most expensive and best thing you have ever owned, of course you are going to take a tremendous amount of pride in it.

Is this thread any indication of how much a header is worth 2 cents on our car or what?

I would expect these kind of comments from some other kind of owners, but not from the s2k crowd.

It seems that the civic/integra owners take more pride in their cars then you guys.

WOW.............
I'm afraid that I view these as some rather naive statements.

Hopefully you can tell the difference between this group and the kids standing around in the parking on Saturday ooh-ing and ahh-ing the latest in JDM bling. ("But is it Muuuu-gen?") Mediocrity shall not be encouraged or celebrated. Challenging each other's opinions allows us to distill the information disseminated here. Posting a dyno sheet does not create immediate gospel. For example, failing to reveal a complete list of test conditions, a controlled set of baseline runs, AFR ratios, ignition timing, and coolant temps will start your discussion off on a very wrong foot. Making wild ass unsubstantiated claims will undoubtably cause more damage than good, especially to someone's reputation.

Folks are pretty quick to call bullshit here, but if you have a substantial basis for your opinion you'll find that opinions will change rather quickly.
