Default iPad

Hey guys. Well I'm a member again. Back in the market for an S again or perhaps an NSX I'd I find the right one so I reinstated my membership.

ANYWAY no I didn't buy one....yet, I was wondering what u guys think of the ipad. Anyone get one yet? Messed with it at the apple store for a bit and was pretty impressed. I like gadgets but I'm not a techie and I'm sick of how long it takes for my laptop to boot up just do I can google something for 30 seconds. Contemplating the purchase. And it's koo cuz it's not locked and the month to month subscription option is pretty attractive too!

Just wondering what you guys think about it.

If you have an iphone and laptop there isn't much use for it. The battery life sure is nice though. We recently took ours on a trip to the midwest and it only used a couple % of the battery on the way over.... so if i was flying more than I am now i would probably get one for that.

I have one, bought it for the wife. So far its okay. The signal can be great then next minute ok. They have been having wi-fi issues. It works on some routers better than others. and the 3g isnt has fast. But its ok with us since we use it mostly when we travel, since we travel alot around america and abroad. IMO wait til gen 2 when they have worked out the bugs.

I want one, but I currently have an iPhone and it seems to cover all of my needs. If I traveled for work more I would definitely pick up the 3G+Wifi version so you wouldn't have to pay for Wifi in some of those airports...

I view the Ipad as nothing more than paperweight, but to each's own

They have the next generation coming out soon, it will include a few extra little things such as a camera, and I think they recently released a newer version which has 3g...correct me if im wrong

If you got money, no iphone and laptop then its for you, but the fact that they still dont have flash support kind of knocks it down a few points.

its funny, we have 3 laptops and my wife wanted it so bad when it came out. We might get an extra since my wife and I fight over it when on the road. Probably get the 2nd gen.
