Laser Radar Warning
Driving on H-167 in Auburn sunday night at 11:30pm, State Trooper parked in the center median shooting Laser. Instant on. No warning. Sent my Escort detector through the roof.
I only mention it because it is my first encounter with "local" enforcement using Laser.
No, I didn't get pulled over. I wouldn't drive faster than the posted limit.

I had a laser encounter, too: about a week ago in Bremerton, approaching the ferry. The V1 went bonkers, and I was thinking "hmm, I don't see any LED taillights or flashing emergency lights, and the sun sure as he!! isn't shining, so maybe this is real laser..." I would have had a ticket for sure by then if I wasn't the third car in the train; first guy got the ticket.
Guess I'll have to prepare to get on the brakes (after quick check of mirrors), next time I hear the laser warning.

Man, you guys are lucky! We have had laser in BC for quite some time. My next door neighbor is an RCMP officer, and he says it is pretty much impossible to beat it (if the cop wants to get you, your pretty much nailed). He did say that they do aim for front license plates, 'cause it provides the ideal reflective surface. Apparently the S2000 would make a slightly more difficult target without the plate on (but then he smiled and said he could get me anyway).
