Please help needed ASAP!!!!
Wow! That is excellent news. It's good that Carter was able to go the extra mile for you and get this thing taken care of for you. This puts my faith back in Honda, 'cause I tell ya I was getting a little concerned.
So Rev, how 'bout celebrating with us over sushi tomorrow night (Saturday October 26th). A group of us are gonna go to E-Bei at 7:00pm. The restaurant is on the corner of Granville and 41st.

I've been a Honda mechanic for 13 years and am now an S2000 owner. Honestly, you ran it too low on oil and made enough noise about it that Honda caved in to you.
These are high performance engines and WILL use oil at a higher rate than their counterparts in the CR-v, Civic, Accord. This IS part of the design, BUT, is not a "FLAW".
FYI
I see this "make noise till someone gives in" routine every day and frankly it just makes all of our stuff cost more. You may have gotten it for free now, but we will all pay for it in future products.
Be nice to your car, realize what you bought and, above all, maintain it properly.

That's great news to hear. "Good will" is what they will use every single time to not admit fault, what this mean is that it's a one in a life time thing. If they say they'll fix it out of warranty they'll be in big trouble as it'll go down as a reliability problem with the car. Just be nice to the mechanic(s) that are working on your car and they'll give you your baby back in one piece

I just would like to thank everyone that has given me pointers in this thread. It really help me through this tough 2 and 1/2 week period. Special thanks to Sean whom went the distance for me variety of times. Special thanks to my service manager Stacey. Thank you all for your input really appreciated.
I should print out this thread, in case I need it in 2yrs time
And to our mechanic friend, I check my oil once a week every Saturday morning. I drive the car like it's a 6s car and I'm not burning any oil. It's easy to call a Civic owner abusive or other S2000 owners but not those on this board. These are very special people that know their stuff.
