Ya, I have alot more to say. But I think this forum is so ultra sensitive that it would do no good. I have said nothing negative in this thread about anybody, but everyone else has.
I simply put a question out and you guys have nothing better to do but crucify me for it. So who is being unfriendly here, I truley dont belive its me, as far as smileys go, how is this one
Thats how i feel about most of this forums replies to my origional question. seems as though you have a problem with me not the dealer. :frown:

Might I suggest that if you don't want people to come across as somewhat defensive that you be a bit more careful in how you phrase your questions/statements.

We aren't "ultra sensitive" on this board ...we're just a bit more knowledgeable than a typical dealerships average customers.

The problem most people have had here prior to your arrival was with the dealership and possibly with a few specific people at that dealership. You have correctly identified Parker as one of the short list of people that are fairly respected at HoB. Are you on the list of respected people? Well, you might have been, but your behavior on this thread of appearing to call people out and then backpedalling probably hasn't done anything to further the opinion of you.

Seems to me the only one being sensitive here is you.

I have a total of 7 posts to this thread none of wich backpedal of call any specific member out. as far as the history i was trying to see by starting this thread what I as an individual could do in my daily routine to help. as far as parker , I respect him and i know for a fact he respects me. he deservs the respect and nothing i have said on this thread should take away from mine, i am not the asshole you make me out to be.

I don't think you're an @$$hole, actually. I think you're probably just a tech at HoB that came on the board and attempted to take on a problem that several users have expressed with HoB without any background and with a poorly thought out strategy for how to shape the discussion.

I DO think that you have called into question your credibility by not coming out at the beginning and identifying yourself as a tech and only admitting to it when someone else brought it up.

Instead, you say that there is no need to ask for a specific tech at HoB because they are all qualified to work on the cars...and THEN admit later on that all techs are not created equal.

Which is it? Are they equal or not? If they ARE all equal and some aren't qualified, does that mean that all of them...yourself included...aren't qualified?

Seriously, I appreciate what you are trying to do...identify how to better serve the customer...but it may have been better served by being totally upfront about who you are and who you represent.

you and i both know not all techs are the same, but i have complete faith in the crew, hence no need to ask. if you prefer a tech, cool. i didnt admit i was a tech to avoid flamming and possible unwanted sitting in the bosses office explaining this. probly gonna happen now though. my strategy may be poor but the desire is there, hey its the internet. i cannot represent any honda dealer or honda on this board as i am not autorized to do so, was just seeking info, not tyring to represent anyone. as far as qualified, i myself am completely to work on S2K's or any other high performance vehicle, Honda or not. And am trusted internally to do so.

337, good observation about sitting in the boss' office. I'd let your dealer take care of their own PR and you stick to wrenching.

While you're at it, ask the parts dept why they have to charge so much for an oil filter.
