Valves
A big thanks to S2KYSK for helping me with the valve adjustment on my car. I showed him my appreciation by allowing him to take the rice rocket on a test drive post-adjustment (took like 4 hours cuz I forgot to turn the crank and a lot of them were out of spec). He did a fun drift with me passenger-side. Then on the second try, he fried my clutch like no other.
"Look, dawg, I'm running pretty decent tread back there on pricey rubber I can't afford to burn off so quickly..."
And then he had the nerve to say his car was prettier than mine which would imply that his car is then prettier than VTECMOM's car!
Many thanks, Young.
Encounters
I'm sure ya'll have your own stories, but here's a stupid one that happened just an hour ago:
Bellevue Kid: "Hey, bro, how do you like your S2000?"
WRS2K: "It's a lot of fun. Gets me in trouble sometimes."
Bellevue Kid: "I was gunna get one, but I got that instead (points to Subaru Impreza RS)."
WRS2K: "Too bad, man (wtf?)."
Bellevue Kid: "Yeah, I can't afford the insurance on it probably."
WRS2K: "That sucks."
Bellevue Kid: "So what do you race in this car?"
WRS2K: "I don't street race. I keep it on the tracks (bs/lol)."
Bellevue Kid: "Well, that's cool (wtf?). So what you got under the hood then?"
WRS2K: "It's all stock, man."
Bellevue Kid: "Okay."

Here's a couple of encounters:
I was at Coal Creek QFC on a weekend night where there were some kids in a tricked Civic sitting there. Of course, wanting the BFE parking spot I parked near the civic. I wasn't too sure about leaving the car there and stood next to my door for a second.
One of the kids said, "nice car, man!" I responded, "your's looks nice, too. What have you done to it?"
We continued talking and my girlfriend rolled her eyes and went into QFC. We talked about cars, car shows, and mods... and another older guy in a pickup pulled up asking about the S. What was really neat was that this older guy was a vintage enthusiast and told me to keep good care of the car. He sees it becoming a classic.
Also, this weekend, I was at the NasCar races and showed up in the S. It got a lot of looks and positive responses. Because I was "staff" I was able to roll up through the pits and show-off the latest in Honda technology. Only problem is my car is a bit on the dirty side.
