I need some help. I just found out that I have a leak on my hardtop on the right hand side of the car. And when I opened the door I noticed that my weatherstripping had a half in tear in the silicone seal. I don't think that shinetsu grease would be very effective at a fix for this. Does anyone know of something or am I just going to have to buy a new weatherstrip. I don't really want to do the second because it is a little pricey for one piece but if that is the only solutions I will do it anyways.

 

Check to see if you are still under warranty. Claim it if you are. If not then just buy a new piece locally or online.

Kinda, not nearly as bad, but it is the hardtop seal that is the problem not the door.
