,everyone! This is my first post within Photography, and I need some help toward the purchase of a new camera. My present camera - a Kodak EasyShare C330 - sucks, most especially when used at night. It takes "photographs" the likes of this:

So, if you would please, what is the best under-300-dollar camera? I say under three hundred dollars because all I really need it for is S2K meets and parties and the like here at me crib.

I have a Canon Powershot S1IS that I love (I've had it ~4 years now)

I'm pretty sure the S5IS is out now but it's about $500. You might be able to pick up a S3IS for $300. I'm a big Canon advocate though.

I've got a brand new Sony Alpha A300K with lens on eBAY if you're interested (although it may be outta your price range). I can work out a deal for a fellow S2K'er if you'd like.
