seems you know the size and pitch of thread you require. if no luck with the fastener distributors try industrial shops i.e. acklands grainger or phone a machine shop and ask them where they purchase their supplies. good luck

Personally I'm a big fan of just going to Mr Lube. You sit in the car, while they're doing it... or, they'll even let you get out and watch. It's quick, fairly cheap ($60 with my PCX filter, they supply the Mobil 1), and most of the guys working at the Mr Lube's I've been to, are all into cars... so they respect the vehicle.

I've been wrong all along in terms of the spec. It's actually 14 and 1.50. Bought a brand new plug today from cdn tire and that's what they have listed in their system.

I called a store that specializes in all kind of nuts and bolts. They didn't have the tap that I need but the guy on the line told me that I could use an oversize 14/1.50 plug and it's self threading? Would anyone have any idea what he's actually talking about?

One place I haven't tried is Gregg's distributor but they're closed today. Snapon website sells it for $12 cad.
