Hijacked thread - was about Dell Canada
$1299 - $1499 for that tv is incredible. You can't even price one for twice that amount.
8 ms response time... if you see ghosting at that, you have super human eyes. I play intense games on my NEC monitors, and they're only 15 ms response (dual displays), no ghosting.
1000:1 contrast ratio. For an LCD that is just about unheard of!
Dave, I would really strongly recommend the daytek.
At $1500, you can afford to replace it twice before buying the panasonic. So even if it wears out in 3 years (highly unlikely), you're set.
[QUOTE=chrissa,May 31 2005, 06:06 PM] Some thoughts on the Daytek:

I guess this Costco deal has caught lots of people's attention.

I'm beginning to get swayed. How do we get a coupon?

not sure if the image shows up here, but I'll post it up anyway

There is a generic wall mount for $100 from futureshop, brand is saner... it'll work with this display.
I'm heading over to Costco on Thursday to check this out too. Word is that you can ask Customer Service at the membership desk for the coupon book. Apparently you do need the coupon to get the discount.

I just bought a Costco membership online because of this.
And not only this, that bloody coupon you put up has a discount on a GPS I think I'll get too.

I was on the AVS forum, but the Canadian content on this one is what I need, since I've been trying to choose a provider.
