Alberta S2K owners:

Thank you for your replies. I new that I could count on you for some interesting comments. I know that I would get a bit of a biased answer on the S2KI forum, but what would you expect...it's a great car. I have driven both cars and I know what 9000RPMS is like
What are some of the prices I can expect looking for a used S2000?
Should I stay away from '01's with the plastic window? Please let me know if anyone knows of one for sale in Alberta.

There were some sweet deals a month or two ago. Some 02 S2K's were going for high $30k's!! Yikes!

And definitely go for the 02+ for the glass window. The plastic window is tough to see out of and a hardtop is currently out of my reach

 

Yeah thinking back I should have went for an '02 w/ the glass window but I couldn't find any close to the price I got my '01 for... but now it should be fairly easy.

 

wassup guys, im in the market for a used s2k also, but i was planing on getting a 00 or 01 and then swapping a 02 top sooner or later. or do u guys think i should just get teh 02 for like 3-4 more grand?

 

I honestly don't think you need a hardtop if you have the rear glass window. So just get 02+

Can you even swap in the 02 top into an 00/01?

Depending on what new updates are unveiled in the upcoming S, the price might go down even more on the current ones.

 

.....Just buy some cleaner for the plastic window Mine looks as clear as the day i bought it ....mind you, I only have 16 000kms on my 00' (probably would've been less if i didnt go down to banff at the end of August) *shrug*
