I paid $44,000 for MY01 Berlina Black with 16,000 kms in March 2003 and at that time, was the cheapest, lowest mileage S2K in Western Canada. 8 months later I listed it for $38,500 with 30,000 kms and got virtually no interest. It wasn't until I asked $35,000 obo that I managed to sell it at $33,500.

The S2K's in the autotrader are all overpriced. I have been looking for a reasonably priced Sebring Silver S2K for the last while and have had no luck. I'm in no rush, not interested in importing one, so I'll be patient with things.

Seks: There's an 02 Blue with 20,000kms asking $32K in BC (City Gate Motors) Assuming everything checks out fine, I think that's a good price.

but now there seems to be quite a bit of them for sale
It could be that the market here is getting full of these sorts of cars now, PLUS, people are beginning to sense winter is just around the corner and may be trying to unload while there is still some good driving weather left.

Wow! 44k? Now I don't feel so bad paying $39,000 for my '01 w/ 20km back in December 02.

I have owned many black vehicles in my life and sure, they're all "hot" looking and it's easy to tell someone else that black is the only choice there is. It's a whole different matter when you're the owner and has to look after it. It only looks "hot" if it's kept up and really, after a while, black gets pretty tedious and "old". I will not likely EVER own another black car again in my lifetime, with the exception of a black Honda Element and with this one, I'd just let it go the Hell in a handbasket because it would a utility vehicle. An Element only looks decent in black because of the stupid body cladding it uses.

You can get an element with body-colour plastic for the '06 model

Good to know. Of course, at the moment, the Smart is high up on the list, however, the Element is looking more practical.
Sorry for the hijack.

You, as a mod, can do anything you pleased. What's the issue?

Anyhow, another used car lot was only willing to offer $25000 based on the "book" the guy was looking through. He admits that he has to make the coin somehow.
