Default Antenna Replacement or Fix

Hey everyone. I've been trying to figure out whats the problem with my antenna. MY05 looks like this on its base. It has a rusted screw which I dont know if thats the remaining piece from the OEM antenna or is that how the base is? Im hoping to buy a new antenna but all the ones I've found online has a screw in it to screw it on the base. Can someone help? Thanks!

That is broken off from the antenna - see if you can get the screw out, maybe some PB blaster or penetrating oil to soak it for a day or two. Try not to get any on the paint.

Thanks guys. I took it in today to Honda and they tried to remove it and they end up braking it. Luckily I have a buddy that works for Honda so I just bought a replacement base with the whole kit which retail price is about $150.00 and I got it for $99.00. I'll post some pics up. Thanks for the help again!

^ they broke and you ended up paying for replacement? Even at discounted price, that doesn't seem justified...

I agree. They could have replaced the whole thing if they broke the screw off. At the very least, they could have tapped it w/ an Easy Out and replaced the antenna for you. For $99, I'd say you got ripped off.

The antenna already had rust. My buddy works for Braman Honda and he showed me the listed price for the OEM BASE KIT and they go for $160.00. He sold it to me for cost price $99.00 They broke the antenna to point that it just didnt have anywhere to screw any other aftermarket antenna. Cant go wrong with NEW OEM parts.
