Default Automotive Paint

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could give me some info on whether Milano Red spray paint will blend in with New formula red if I were to paint my lip? Any input would be great. Thanks

Why not get a spray can of NFR and clearcoat from AutomotiveTouchup or a similar company? Milano red seems like a much deeper red, I'd believe it'd be rather noticeable.

Actually red is one of the hardest normal colors to match. It will definetly be a different color and look off. I say just go get it sprayed NFR and have it done right the first time. I painted my ap1 lip several times with the spray stuff from Automotivetouchup.com, and it worked but didn't last to long. I now have an ap2 front and apr style lip profesionally painted and it looks much better and is way better quality than you will get from a spray can.

It's not the same red. It won't blend well. There's two or three different Milano Red colors to start with. One has a little more blue in it. Another is more orange.

I've had my wife's S2000 repainted from NFR to Milano. I've got a fresh AP1 in NFR and is night and day difference whne the two are next to each other; especially in artificial lighting at night.

A body shop will only charge you like $150-200 for a set of side skirts in your color. Exactly how are you wanting to do it yourself? Do you have an air compressor (that can keep up with the paint gun) and a gun and everything? Or are you just wanting to use the aerosol cans? Trust me I did my lip a couple times with the aerosol cans and it did match pretty good, but there was still a small difference. It will be more noticable on side skirts. Also the finish isn't nearly as smooth as having it done right. You will still spend $50 on paint regardless, so paying and extra $100-150 is definetly worth it in the end.
