Default NFR--single stage?

Does anyone know if the NFR on a MY00 is a single stage paint -- no clear coat? I've been working on my paint since I got it and, to this date, I still get an incredible amount of paint coming off onto my pads. Even if I am using a polish like EX, SFX3, etc., I still turn a white pad into red by the time I am done. Paint has finished flat---no swirls, trails, etc.

MY00 with 6,000 miles.

Thanks,
Shumax

They mixed a bit of red pigment into the clearcoat - I guess that makes it pinkcoat!

common problem, especially your mirrors... i understand that they are even worse.
its not just your car- not that it helps!
but its unlikely that you are doing any damage-

That's what I thought -- been doing this for a while and that's what it reminded me of.

I'm doing chip repair today -- have two small chips that I am taking care of. Filled them and now have done the first stage of wetsanding. Takes a lot of patience...

I did see that.

I managed to sand through the paint down to the primer on one spot -- gosh am I not happy right now. About the size of a pin head. I think that I am going to have to get a specialized rattle can and try and spray and then rub it out. I've used towerpaint.com before, but that was about 5 years ago.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Yep, NFR is the only S2000 Color with a tinted clear coat.

I've used paintscratch.com before, it was a perfect match on a silver prelude.

It is only from your mirrors. I have polished, waxed, washed my car DOZENS of times, and never had a red wrag.
