Bonnet a different colour?
I have just bought a Nurburgring Blue 2006 (56 reg) S2K and now noticed that the bonnet is a slightly different shade from the other panels, especially in slightly shaded light. The dealer says this is because it's aluminium, but I struggle with this idea, from a huge and reputable manufacturer. No clear signs it has been re-sprayed (although it might have been). On the other hand why re-spray the bonnet but nothing else? Has anyone else found this (if it's true, presume other colours would be affected)? Is the dealer right? Does it affect resale value (I paid a fairly hefty price anyway)?
I need to get back to the dealer urgently - quick replies welcome.

It's called Suzuka blue in the states. I believe there are either copper or gold-colored flakes in the paint that gives the blue a different tint in low or reflected light and at slightly different angles. Hopefully that's your issue- have it checked out though.
Thanks for the info, friends. I'm keeping the car but the bonnet is to be re-sprayed. 2 paintshops confirmed that there is a well-known issue with paint on plastic bumpers, but no noticeable issue with aluminium.
If the previous owner had an aftermarket hood (bonnet) and then replaced it with the oem unit at the time of sale that would explain the difference in color. I know because that was the case with my first S2k. He had an aftermarket Mugen Rep hood that I didn't want and he put the oem unit back on and then it didn't match the rest of the car/
