Default Soft top or hard top?

I hope im in the right section for this posting....So I'm wondering what you all think... I'm stuck between replacing my soft top or getting a hard top. Winter is coming soon but I live in so cal(Los angels are) so I don't really have to worry about crappy weather. The soft top on my car now is decent with no real problem. A few very very small holes. The reason I've been thinking of replacing the soft top is to update the look of the car since its an '00 and has te plastic window and would like to have glass. So I made some calls n got quoted to replace my soft top for about $1300. As far as the hard top goes I was thinking about getting a replica from forbidden. I'm stuck in the middle. What are ur guys opinions? What would u all do? Thanks!

Both, unless you figure that if you get a hardtop it'll always be on.

I say get a OEM Hardtop, soft top will rip again. Don't get replica, I don't think there's any good replicas out there that is good as OEM. I once bought a ED hardtop and I hate it so much. Good fitment but a lot of air noise.

I bought my03 two weeks ago. It has a gorgeous carbon fiber Mugen style hard top. I don't know if it is a copy or not – it comes in two pieces. I am taking it off. As I said, the car looks bitchin but I can't see out the sides to the rear, out the sides when pulling out of parking, or well enough directly to the rear to feel like a safe and responsible driver...

My replacement soft top comes on Wednesday. I would love it if you could go back and forth more easily. Luckily, the car looks awesome with the top down, too!

I will sell someone my whole softtop assembly if someone wants it. It is less then three months old right above the driver side latch has a quarter inch cut, but it has never leaked in the rain or when washing and was told it can be repaired for less then 100 bucks. Im building a full track car so I dont need the top it was put on right before I bought the car. If anyone wants it let me know Ill send pics.
