Default corrosion/rust

been looking at a few s2000s lately of different vintages. I noticed alot of them have some type of rust forming on the radiator hose clamps and on the 2 unpainted bolds at that are towards the front of the fender. Is this normal or is this a sign the vehicle was drivin during winter? I do live in the rust belt so it is a concern of mine.

It all comes down to where the car lives. I am the original owner of a 94 TBird with 120K and there is not a speck of rust on it. I live east of Sacramento; no salt, no snow, low humidity. I bought my S that was sold in Phoenix, it an 09 31K with no rust at all. All the aluminum is shiny even underneath the car. There is a reason the aircraft boneyard is in the desert of Arizona.

They don't call it the rust belt for nothing

Yeah for some reason those two bolts did that on my S two, I just plast-dipped them. I'm thinking of just buying new ones tho. Can't be more than a 1$ lol also have a problem with my battery ties rusting even after priming them with anti-rust paint. I drive my s in the rain (Florida)

Hose clamps? Really? Dude, you have no idea what real rust is. Don't worry about some uncoated fender bolts or hose clamps rusting. Ever seen a rusted out S2K? Me neither. Don't worry about it.
