Default Dishartened by painted bumpers.

Hey guys..Ive had my bumpers dome for the 2nd time on my 05 GPW. The guy made spray panels to match the bumpers to the rest of the car. I saw the panels..they were dead on. Once i received the car it looked a little off color. There was no blending he said. It was just a straight match to the rest of the car. So now it looks brighter than the rest of the car. So is there a way to correct the paint on the car to match the bumper? Like brighten up the cars original paint? Buffing? Clay bar? Anything? I really dont wanna get the bumpers repainted again for the 3rd time. Any help of suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Seek out a respected auto detailer in your area, they should be able to remove any dulling film/debris and restore the shine to your car.

Well, it is best to have the rest of the paint in as good as condition as possible before you try to match it.

But, umm....the only way to get it to look exactly like the rest is you must blend it. Otherwise, if you have good eye, you will always see a difference. Especially if you are color deficiency like 8% of us. While my color deficiency drives me crazy sometimes, it also gives me this unique ability to see even slight differences of color matching.

+1 to the blending. It adds much cost but it is the only way to have things match perfectly.

I don't know about S2000's, but most cars these days have the bumpers, mirrors, spoilers and other small trim painted by the supplier hundreds of miles away from the assembly plant, so almost all those pieces are slightly off, so in that respect, at least it will not look too much like damage repair if someone in the know notices.
