very nice write up, will be doing my conversion soon. Will it be easier if i jus got the 04 headlights with everything ie ballast and so forth? would it then be jus simply be plug and play?
Absolutely, if you can get the ballast also it will make the job A LOT easier. It should at that point just be plug and play.. just be sure to shave down the corners of the front support beam though.

Good luck.

just got another question in regards to the headlights. My car is a RHD car as im front Australia and you guys have LHD. So when the lights are on, beam is higher than the other to prevent the light blinding oncoming motorist. So my question is since that is the case would i still be able to purchase a headlight from the US and use it here in australia. Would it just be a simple matter of adjusting the light beam??

I've never had to adjust the lights (probably should) so I'm not sure. If you order them from hardtopguy.com I know Jeff can answer that question for you. Can you not order them in AUS at a local honda dealership?

Been meaning to post back on this topic for ages, I completed the full conversion on mine a couple of months back, followed Joshs instructions and they were spot on in every way, and you definitely do need to shave the front crossmember at both sides (otherwise nasty nipples!!!!)

ANyway bought everything from hardtopguy.com inc. headlights even though my cars RHD everything was fine except the headlights are manual adjust. and once set no worries all good

Heres some before/after shots

I just did the conversion and bought the 04-05 plastic grill. It doesn't seem to stay on or fit right. Is there anything else holding the plastic grill besides two clamps on the left and right of the plastic grill?
