OEM Trunk Spoiler Install
Hey guys -
I finally installed the OEM rear spoiler on my NFR '03 last fall. I love how it looks, but there is a noticeable gap between the trunk lid and the spoiler on the front side. If you look at the right angle, you can actually see daylight under the spoiler. I followed the factory installation instructions exactly. I didn't have a torque wrench at the time, so I just tightened the nuts/bolts until they felt snug, but not too tight that I worried about bending the trunk lid or cracking the spoiler. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I just need to tighten the nuts/bolts to the proper spec? It seems like tightening it more wouldn't close the front gap, because the nuts/bolts are on the rear side of the spoiler. Just looking for some advice before I start messing with things and possibly making it worse. Thanks!
