Shine A spec
I bought this bumper Nov 2010. [attachment=12721:Photo0406.jpg][attachment=12722:Photo0407.jpg]I was so excited when I got it but knew I would have to wait until spring 2011 to get it installed. In Oct. my car had been in an accident that required a new passenger front fender but paint job that resulted from that was horrible.[attachment=12731:002.jpg]
I decided to get the entire front end resprayed along with the Shine bumper. When I started looking for a shop, I had trouble finding one that I trusted to do both the paint and the fitting work on the bumper. My hours at work and various life events really knocked the wind out of my body shop search and the bumper got put on the back burner for a while. Near the end of June, I finally took things into my own hands one afternoon and rough fitted the bumper myself. I was surprised how well it fit after a little sanding and Dremel tool work.[attachment=12723:268.JPG][attachment=12724:265.JPG][attachment=12728:259.JPG] I left it on the car and July took it to a small local shop that would work with the bumper. I didn't let them paint the car but they filled, smoothed, and painted the bumper. The paint was bad (as expected)but the filling was great. After more delays, in early Nov., I got the car to a shop that would be able to do a good job with matching and laying paint. I got it back two weeks ago and finally go to pop a few pics over the Thanksgiving holiday. I'm so proud of it. I have that same awesome feeling I have the day I bought the car.

It was $1k to sand the mismatch paint off the bumper and prep/repaint the bumper, hood, pass fender, pass door, and blend onto the pass quarter. The quality of the Shine bumper was better than I expected. A shop that is really good with custom body work could make it look OEM and you would still come out cheaper than buying a real ASM bumper.
