02 AP1 Sway bar questions

Thanks for the reply. Yeah maybe it’s best I just keep driving this thing and get to know it better. I’ve never felt such fear in turns in my life lmao. I have an sti and that was never an issue haha.

Ah yes. Usually, with an STi, you're fighting understeer and driving more violently to INDUCE rotation. Plus, AWD makes mashing the throttle acceptable. Plus...its not a momentum car.
You're going to potentially ruin the S2000 trying to make it do all that. It just takes a different touch. It drives with a textbook definition of characteristics of a RWD car.

The way you are describing your car, it drives the way its supposed to drive. If anything, I would replace the front sway bar with a stiffer aftermarket one, to reduced the roll now that you have added grip. B_serious is right though, unless you're setting best times at a time trial, I would just learn how to drive the car the way it is setup from the factory.

Once you learn to drive rwd,if you want to see tbe impact of swapping swaybars, how it affects front to rear balance, etc, pm me your email address, and I'll send you my suspension calculator spreadsheet. You can see effects of mix and match oem parts from other years or aftermarket parts if you know their rates.

I’ll be honest, it’s kicking out in the rear because I’m forcing it to in hard turns lol. Just trying to see what I can do to make it less prone is I guess what I’m trying to accomplish. The S was properly aligned on a hunter machine. I’m running hankook ventus rs4. 225/45/17 Front 255/40/17 Rear. Ap2v1 wheels.
Conditions have all been street so far. I plan to go autocross very soon.

Learn the car, get a good baseline before you start modding the car. If your first RWD take it to a track and learn your limits because you might get to the limits of this great car. Tires and brakes first mod only. And just enjoy the car. Welcome to the S2000 community
