Default Best option to fix tire rubbing on drivers side rear

I have 18" OZ Ultraleggeras on my MY00, and recently fitted some quite large 255/45's on the rear. The setup works well except that there is modest rubbing on the rear drivers side fender, but everything is fine on the opposite side. The difference in wheel/fender gap between the sides is about 1/4 of an inch. Everything other than the wheels/tires on the car is stock. The car only has 45K gentle miles on it, so I don't really suspect a failing suspension.

My question is this. I would really like to be able to run this particular tire size, so what is the easiest way to make that happen? The local speed shop recommends flaring the fender and relocating the fender tab, but I am hesitating since the passenger side works without modification. Is there any way to adjust the stock suspension (seems unlikely)? Would a set of Koni's and springs be able to give me the extra 1/4 inch I need? Any other option I haven't considered?

I really appreciate any help you guys can give!

Chad

Sorry, you have exceeded my technical level. I had a standard alignment done when I bought the car a year ago. I am not sure how to tell what the alignment values are, or how to adjust them. If there is a sticky somewhere you can point me to, I could quickly educate myself and provide a bit more satisfying answer.

Nevermind, a little negative camber and a bit of finesse with a rubber mallet was all that was needed.

Most likely your toe is jacked since you changed the camber. They are dependent on each other. I'd get a full alignment soon.
