I have Centric Premium Rotors on my DD and my daughter's car. For a late model AP2 (2008), they are $54.99 with free shipping from Amazon. I don't know if you can do better on the the price so you may want to use Google and see what you come up with.
Centric Parts 120.40048 Premium Brake Rotor with E-Coating - fits 2008. May fit other model years. Good luck.

Wow! The inspector that you refer to has no clue what he/she is talking about. First, brake rotors are made from cast iron, not from steel. There's a big difference in metallurgy there. Second, with the exception of some of the higher end Stop Tech rotors (a Centric division per their website), I'm not aware of anyone manufacturing brake rotors in the US any longer. Some companies do finish machining of rotors in the US but that's about it these days. As for the situation with one of your vehicles, the issue sounds like uneven pad transfer. Ceramic pads transfer a layer of material to the rotors and some pads transfer more than others. I can't speak for the Wagner pads as I have never used them.
I purchased some Centric Premium Rotors and Wagner ThermoQuiet Ceramic Pads for the fronts of my 2002 Avalon, 2002 4Runner and 2004 S2000. I replaced both pads and rotors on the Avalon after noticing hairline cracks on the rotors as well as a terrible squeel each morning as my wife backed out of the garage. It was fine after she drove around. I had easy 5k miles on the rotors and pads. The 4Runner has since developed a steering vibration when I apply the brakes. I haven't looked at the rotors yet. Have 7k miles on the rotors and pads. I haven't driven the S enough to get any wear out of the pads and rotors so I can not report here. The annual safety inspector says that the rotor issue has something to do with the steel / lead ratio of the centric rotor. Seems the ones made in China have a higher lead content and tend to be problem some. US and Mexico made are OK........ I've since read that centric rotors are cheap ... junk and NOT recommended ......
