Not everyone has the money or the desire to change wheels, and for that matter they may already have a wheel and tire setup that appeals to them. From the perspective of grip, it's true that a good tire will make the most difference, but if someone is looking to change ride height and/or spring and damper characteristics and feel, a change in tires isn't going to be what they're looking for. Escalade and navigators? Where in the world did that come from. No one here is making any recommendations that are going to ruin the car.

CR shocks and swift spec-r springs seems to be a popular combination. I tried this setup and personally found it a bit too stiff/bouncy for my tastes for my DD. Not sure how they would feel on non-CR dampers. Enough people seem to like them though so I'll just consider myself the oddball on that one. I do however find my CR shocks ad Eibach pro kit to be just right for DD and mountain drives. Firm, yet still compliant and the moderate drop doesn't cause me to scrape on many driveways.

If you want something reliable and that will last almost forever, get the CR shock and Spec-R combo. Oem shocks are built to last.

I drove around on the Spec R springs and stock shocks for a few years and the combo is good. At 80,000 miles I told myself I would add Koni yellows to see how the car felt. Its a big difference. I asked the significant other if she could tell the difference, and she said the car felt smoother. The car is more firm over bumps and broken pavement.

My car is a daily driver as well. I don't want or care about 32 adjustable clicks, pretty colors, or any of that, I just wanted something to lower the car slightly and make the ride feel better since it has some miles on it. I had KW V3's on my 993 and wasn't going down that route again as I have better priorities on where my money goes. Springs and tires were the very first things I did to the car once the original set of tires were going bald. I am currently on Bridgestone RE760. And went to Enkei wheels after spacers became too much of a hassle on stock wheels.

Thank you for everyone inputs and it seems like majority of our members here vote for Koni Yellow with the Spec R Springs as a combo . I guess I can go with this route but one minor issue here is hard to find the Stock Top Hats/Mounts to go with this set up or maybe you guys have a set laying around and want to pass to us ?

Thanks,

Andy
