Ground Control Coilover Conversion on CR
Would the coilover conversion kit still fit the CR despite the changes to the suspension made from the ap2 to the CR? They do say that they are designed for either stock or aftermarket shocks. Lastly how do you actually install these? Thanks!
Yes, it'll fit. The design didn't change, but the shock valving and spring rate did.
To install, you should assemble the unit and put it in the car. Get a shock, put the ground control sleeve over it, put the top hat on, then put it in the car, and torque everything down.

GCs and Konis cost around $800-900. There really isn't a NICE coilover available for that much money.
OP...yes, they will fit on stock shocks as long as they're made for a S2000 with stock shocks. Don't get the Koni versions. The Koni versions are only for Konis. They won't fit stock shocks.
The OTS spring rates should be fine. Are you taking part in any kind of motorsports with the car?
Here's a thread showing the OTS rates for ground controls and other springs:

340/380 really isn't bad at all. It will exhibit more oversteer than stock for sure. I forgot what the stock rates for CRs were....I think it's pretty close to that...but the CR's front rates are stiffer than the rears.
The stock shocks really shouldn't have an issue damping those rates, though. Just don't SLAM it on stock shocks like the rice burglar would.
