Default Pad Recomendations

Hey guys, so my stock ap1 rotors are rusting out. Wasn’t going to change them out but a buddy sold his car and gave me 4 unused powerslots for 100 bucks! I figure at that price why not for brand new rotors. Bought a set of steel goodridge lines and now I’ve read so many reviews on pads I dont know what to put in there.. I drive hard on the street and have a few track days a year but for the most part Im looking for a good performance street pad with low dust. Should I stay with stock ap1 pads or can I get better breaking out of something else. Ive used the Hawks on my Audi Q7 and thought it was a step down from stock, heard not great things about ebc... Im a bit unsure of where to go with this. Thanks for any ideas.

I love project mu pads. It's kinda pricy, not everyone loves them because it makes little noise at stop. I had them on my other car with OEM rotors and it worked nice.

Thanks for the thought but I think the noise would get to me also. I guess no noise is something else Im looking for as I drive on the street more than eanything. Can you think of anything other options?

Hummm I also tried those when i had 350z.

Posi pads: It's little bit not my taste... didn't grab hard enough at high speed braking. but it's quite and less dust. I'd would recommand if just for daily.

Hawk: Hate it period

Duralast: it's pretty ok pads. I will say it was like posi ones but grab little better.

When i was getting the posi pads, i also thought about try out Carbotech or Axxis( heard many people hate about dust). go thru reviews and try out something. Everyone has diff driving style and what i like maybe you will not like it.

Went with a CarboTech XP10/8 combo on Centric blank faced rotors... Haven't even driven the car since I put them on (still on the stands) so I can't comment on them. But for my style of driving and the mix use I use the car for it was a good pad set-up, but pricy... I got mine from Rick's, price in cart was less then when selecting the pads too!

How about Endless, Project Mu B-Force or Porterfield R4S?
What would be considered best for what Im looking for? (low dust and noise, better stopping that OEM for agressive street driving)

They has good price, most of venders hard to beat that. But I've heard many bad feedbacks about them over evom. I almost buy my rims from them once but I talked to them thru couple pms and couldn't touch them after(no reply, no call back) I ended buy from one of my buddy's shop in ny.

Skip the ATE and go with Motul 600. Higher boiling point and a better all around fluid. I ran Blue in my mustang for Auto X Class and boiled it one time after a few back to back runs.. and it was only a few months old. Motul I haven't had any issues with.

I had EBC green on another car and didn't care much for them not sure how the Yellows are...
