on my other cars i had:

Axxis Ultimate - loved them a lot.
almost no squeaking.
a lot of dust - but i don't care.
Very good stoping power, bite and heat standing.
Cold bite is a little weak - but this gets OK after 2-3 brakings.
They never ever faded on me.

Hawk HP+
Huge squeaking - but i don't care.
Also a lot of dust.
Very good bite and stoping power.
BUT !!!!!!!
They completely faded on me 3 times.
This was a horrible thing.
But this of course happens only when you drive a real hard and downhill makes it even worse.

EBC and Ferrodo i haven't tried but heard a lot of bad fedabcks about EBCs disintagrating/cracking.

OK so just installed my lines, slotted rotors and Hawk HPS Street pad. After bed in I took the car to "my roads" and went for an hour or so drive and was in full boost for a good amount of it and crushing the brake pedal. The result: The pads are great, they stop much better then OEM and I couldnt get them to fade at all. (i couldnt get the stock pads to fade on the street either) The performance braking was there and I was pretty happy with cold bite and high temp stopping. Everyone said they suck but I think there great. But, when I got home my Volks were BLACK AND THIS CRAP DONT COME OFF EASY!
In conclusion, the pads are good but the dust is too much for me and Im going to stock AP1 pads again. its the truth, the AP1 pad is the best all over pad for street. Good stopping cold and hot, no noise and no dust at all, and I got 31k out of my stock set.
If you dont care about dust, the Hawks are great (no noise) but you have to bed them in to get the true gains out of em

If anyone wants em PM me (less then 100 miles on em)

Again, in my experience, HPS were bad on the street (softer pedal and less bite than stock), and totally (and dangerously) unusable at the track (way way way way way worse than stock, which aren't good track pads).

Obviously, opinions and experiences vary...

I have tried a fair variety of pads on the street and at the track, and HPS were the absolute worst I've experienced.

for street its hard to beat oems. for track you have to buy accordingly.
I have over 97,500 miles on the original OEM pads and still have about 4 MM on them. The minimum service level is 1.6 MM. This includes several track days at Summit Point and BeaverRun at Fall Colors 04. Admittedly, I only drive at about .8 on the track as I am easy on my equipment.
