Default Question when replacing suspension

I have 106k mileage on original suspension on a 2007 model that I'm going to replace and have decided to put in the CR shocks and springs.

I and wanted to know in addition to that what other parts/bushings etc I might want to consider replacing while having that work done. I am going to throw on CR Sway bars as well and wanted to get this as close to CR feel as possible

Thanks,

Cr steering rack
Cr steering stiffeners
Cr subframe or mod ap2
Big ass cr brace where the soft top should be
I would get a fresh set of Mugen bushing set or spoon I'm sure that will do amazing things on a 107k chassis

When you say rack are you referring to the Steering Column part 53200-S2A-A51 ?

And assuming I stick with CR bushing set instead of Mugen or spoon are you referring to Part 52393-S2A-000 ?

Thanks

no I'm referring to the electrical power steering rack, it has a different ratio from the AP2, the same or similar to AP1, but if you replace it you need the CR version for VSA sensor

and when I mean bushing set, I meant all of these:

or this:

The CR as with any special honda is a whole system approach, so just doing things piece meal may get you one step closer, but it's not going to feel like a CR

Thanks, I understand what you mean by referring to the "True feel"

I think doing it by piece meal is how I will go about it starting with shocks, bars, bushings and alignment.

And later on look at rack with VSA sensor if desired

You can also use an AP1 rack. It is the same as the CR rack if I remember correctly. You shouldn't have to replace much unless something is worn out but new will always feel better since you have pretty high miles.

Yea I recently rode in one and with very low mileage and I can definitely feel mine is "squishy, makes a little noise, normal things from wear and tear etc". I figured I'd splurge a bit and upgrade without lowering/raising the car other than the difference between the CR and AP2 stock ride heights.

No it isn't he has a DBW, he needs to use the CR steering rack for the VSA/steering angle sensor

I believe the 07 was like the softest most understeering s2000 IIRC spring and sway bar values correctly, whereas the CR has the firmest shocks and highest spring rates for spring and bars, naturally.

also with your mileage you are talking about a well traveled s2k vs a very very young chassis.

Unless you already have the suspension:
Try changing out the bushings, engine mounts and steering rack rigid mounts.

Budget:
Energy poly bushing kit
Megan Racing Engine/transmission mount
Spoon Rigid steering rack collars

Splurge Setup:
Spoon Bushing Set
Spoon engine transmission mount set (basically the same as megan but with a reinforced transmission mount plate)
Spoon Rigid steering rack collars

I would try this first and see if you get some of that feel back first.

Excellent feedback I didn't even consider the transmission mount, I failed to mention in my first post that the left rear strut is leaking a bit.

I'm definitely doing bushings and sounds like collars and will now consider mounts.
