weekend Track day. 2 tire size!
Greetings
I own from 5 months a s2k
It has stock shocks with tein S springs (the green ones) and volk 18" Ce28 rims
I use my car on weekends only and time, changing the oil, I noticed the front tires were worn in the inside. After searching the site I found out that's quite normal on s2ks. I guess the previous owner never rotated the front wheels. So I did, rotated on their rims and swapped positions.
I also believe that camber has never been compensated after lowering so tire wear is even increased.
NOW
I will be taking some race classes with intructor on late Feb and I plan to use Stock Rims with some toyo tires on it. Heres my question
If I correct the camber to fix some 18" tire wear will it completely spoil with 16" on?
Will a 16" wheel with a beefier tire (to match the overall 18" wheel height) behave as a 18" size on the same camber setting?
I don't feel comfortable drive around the track with the volks. I'm new at track racing I don't want to damage them.
I read the faq and I will be doing some regular maintanence (brakes, tranny oil, diff oil, engine oil, valve lashes prior the track day)
Thank you in advance
