Default 3M spray on paint protection

I don't know if many CR owners even look at the Detailing forum on S2KI, but I saw this and thought it looked interesting. I might pick up a kit and give it a try.

No I haven't, the initial reviews left lots of questions. See the Detailing forum for a couple of write ups.

tried this on my friends ap1 lip and the results were pretty awesome, we did about 8-10 thin coats spraying about 5 inches away in one sweeping constant motion. The first few layers emit a pearlish look to the paint, but after everything dries you cant even tell its there. THe only thing hindering me from trying it on my car is how does it peel off after a year or so...I would hate to deal with something that will crumble into tiny little pieces.

Interesting. It's basically a plasti-dip, but in clear form. From my experience going to body shops and dealing with cars all my life, anything "spray-on" draws a red flag for me. I watched a buddy plasti-dip his wheels and when he decided to remove it, the plasti-dip was a PIA to remove. My 2 cents, go on ebay and get the film. Until this product has had long term reviews, its worry some in my eyes.
